6. Valeera Saguinar

The pose really makes this picture. It's so dynamic and strong but subtle at the same time. The repeated use of a pallet of colors throughout keeps everything cohesive. The attention to detail with all the small characteristics of the outfit is just icing on the cake. All around, a great piece of work!

This reminds of me of some of the Warcraft art that I've seen. Simple yet strong. The dramatic lighting really kicks up the insensity in this piece. The limited color pallet, far from being limiting, actually really makes this picture work.

The anatomy in this picture is amazing! It is spot on. The colors are so vibrant you can't help but stare. No, not there! ;). Even though its an underwater scene, the artist was smar enough not just to use blue. An amazing work and a must for the list.

A spartan and a dinosaur. Need I really say anything else! SPARRRTTAAAA!!!!! Ahem. Anyway. I love the muted pallet in this one. And the hugeness of the dinosaur is set nicely against the size of the soldier. The scale works out perfectly to create a really epic feel.

10. Angel of Ice

Angel of Ice by ~Irulana on deviantART

This piece is just plain beautiful. The cool colors really do make you believe she is the Angel of Ice. The wings are great and have weight. I also love how the artist worked just a bit of warm colors into the flesh to give it a sense of realism. Plus the background is just rockin. Sublime. A must on this list!

Well, that concludes the list. Man, those are some awesome works of art. If you have any suggestions for works to go into the next edition of the best and greatest, just contact me here, or note me on deviantart. Thanks all! And that, as they say, is a wrap. :).
